I've also seriously considered joining the military. I never even thought before about military intelligence. I was just looking it up and I read about Army Intelligence. Specifically MOS 35M - Human Intelligence Collector and MOS 35L - Counterintelligence Agent.
How difficult is it to get these MOS's, and would having them improve my chances of getting a job with the CIA or NSA or other agency?Army Intelligence MOS?
As a former spook and having been/worked with these MOS's, it is quite literally, A BLAST! If you have a clean record, no felonies, and score high enough on the ASVAB's you shouldn't have any problems. Here are some more Oxymoron (Military Intelligence) sites.
I was ASA/INSCOM and worked with DIA, when they were at, ';The Palace';, Arlington Hall. Did some work at Ft.George Meade with NSA. I was in Vietnam, 8th RRFS Phu Bai, Cambodia, Laos- Air America, and Thailand at the 7th RRFS.

You have to get a high score on the ASVAB and pass a background check for a security clearance. It would help you get an agency job, because you would already have related experience and a clearance.
Very hard. Most intelligence people are officers (people with 4 year or more degrees). You have to get really good scores on your ASVAB. Most people I know go into another MOS and then transfer to intelligence later on in their career. Before I got off active duty, I had a intelligence officer tell me about his job and gave me a recommendation, but I decide to get out instead, because it didn't seem like fun. I would ask your recruiter if they could set you up with a meeting with a MOS 35M or L. That way you'll have first hand info.
35Foxtrot is Military Intelligence.... it is very hard with lots of school everyday and depending where u go ...lots of info learned about other countries names and things like that ... .u need to get above 50 for sure on the asvab.
